Team News, Injury Updates September 18th 2025
With a busy schedule ahead, Waltham & Hersham on Saturday followed by Evesham United on Monday. As preparations continue, here’s the latest update on the status of injuries within the squad and when we can expect players to make their return.
Seb Bowerman
Seb sustained an adductor strain during our game at Tiverton but has responded well to treatment. After working hard through his rehab, he is set to return to full training.
Max Herbert
Max recently picked up a minor hamstring strain. He has recovered well and is putting in the work to regain full fitness. He will miss this weekend’s fixture against Waltham & Hersham but is expected to return to the squad the following weekend.
Jordan Esprit
Jordan is recovering from a combination of adductor and abdominal injuries. Over the past week, he has been progressing through non-contact drills and is moving in the right direction, with a potential return to play this weekend.
Ethan Burden
Ethan returned to training last week following a hamstring strain sustained at Weymouth over the bank holiday weekend. Unfortunately, he experienced a flare-up and will now be sidelined for the next two weeks as he continues his recovery.
George Knight
George is continuing his recovery from a serious ankle injury that involved a complete tear of the ATFL and a near full-thickness tear of the anterior inferior tibiofibular ligament. He is progressing well and is expected to step back into non-contact training at the beginning of October, with a full return anticipated around the middle of the month.
Charlie Kennedy
Charlie unfortunately suffered a broken nose in the final minutes of our match against Tiverton. He is undergoing surgery tomorrow and, pending medical clearance, is expected to return to action within 2–4 weeks. When he does return, he will likely wear a protective mask.
