Jordan Esprit showcased his ruthless goal scoring abilities as he guided Bracknell to their first win in 3 games.

The first half of the game played out to be fairly uneventful. Both sides were getting forward at each other’s defences, but shots were at a premium. It wasn’t until past the 20th minute that the game started to pick up. The first real attempt fell to Yate, when Monks’ shot from outside the box went just wide of the post, then shortly after Mannings had an attempt from close range which Oualah made a diving stop denying him a goal. The hosts had a number of free kicks from shooting range in the earlier stages of the second 45 but couldn’t be converted into a goal. The Robins had the ball in the Yate net, but it was chalked off for a foul. Eventually, after 74 minutes, Bracknell drew first blood. Sainsbury got a hand on Esprit’s shot, but it was too powerful and went through him. Not long after it was 2 for the hosts. Sainsbury’s clearance was deflected goalwards by Dotse and rolled into the back of the net. Just before full time, Esprit curled an effort from 25 yards out into the top right corner and out of reach of Sainsbury, capping off an impressive team performance.
