As Bracknell Town Football Club enters its 130th year, the Club is proud to announce the commencement of a new chapter in its long and distinguished history.
Having returned in April 2025 to stabilise operations and oversee the completion of key infrastructure projects, Kayne Steinborn-Busse has confirmed his decision to step down as Chairman, having achieved the objectives he set out at the beginning of his tenure. His mandate was clear: restore operational stability, complete critical ground improvements, and establish the foundations for a refreshed leadership model capable of guiding the Club into its next era.
Saturday’s fixture against Chertsey Town will mark his final match as Chairman. He leaves the Club in a significantly stronger position and will transition into an advisory capacity to ensure continuity and support the next phase of development, subject to League and FA approval.
Corporate Transition & Governance
As part of the Club’s strategic evolution, a new entity – Bracknell 1896 Ltd – has been incorporated. Subject to approval from the League and The Football Association, the Club will transition to a company limited by shares.
This structure aligns Bracknell Town FC with modern football governance standards and establishes a platform designed to deliver:
- Long-term financial sustainability
- Strategic commercial growth
- Professional operational oversight
- Transparent and accountable governance
Jude Steinborn-Busse will become the 100% shareholder and owner of Bracknell 1896 Ltd.
Dan Harris has been appointed Chairman and will oversee this next phase of the Club’s development, ensuring continuity across football, commercial, and operational functions.
Board Development
The new ownership structure intends to formally constitute a Board of Directors to support the Club’s continued progression.
The Board will bring together experienced and forward-thinking individuals across:
- Football operations
- Finance and compliance
- Commercial strategy and sponsorship
- Infrastructure and facilities management
- Community and stakeholder engagement
The objective is to establish a modern, progressive governance framework that combines ambition with discipline – delivering strategic oversight, financial responsibility, and long-term planning to ensure the Club is professionally structured and commercially sustainable.
Strategic Investment & Growth
To support the Club’s ambitions, Alexander Jarvis of Blackbridge Sports LLC has been engaged to explore the introduction of a strategic partner or potential majority investor capable of accelerating Bracknell Town FC’s progress.
Alexander brings a proven track record in football investment and advisory work across the English football pyramid, including involvement with Truro City FC, where new ownership and investment supported a transformative period of growth and success.
This process reflects ambition, opportunity, and a commitment to responsible expansion.
Operational Continuity
Throughout this transition:
- The Club continues to operate as normal
- All fixtures and football operations remain unaffected
- Community programmes continue as planned
- The Club’s identity, heritage, and supporters remain central to all strategic decisions
