The Robins held to another 1-1 stalemate under the lights of the SB Stadium on Tuesday, despite a dominant second half display.

With Berkhamsted looking to turn around their winless streak of 3 games and coming off the back of the 2-0 defeat away to Plymouth Parkway, they responded well, dominating the early periods of the game. Their high work rate and quick pressing forced mistakes out of Bracknell, causing the hosts to play loose passes and give the ball away multiple times. Despite this, Berkhamsted didn’t look overly threatening in front of goal. A fair few chances went amiss, and they couldn’t make the most of the dominant period. Bracknell’s best chance was when Johnson Schuster had an effort at goal from range that almost caught out Horlock in goal low at his near post, but other than that there wasn’t too much else to report from the first half.

The second 45 is where most of the action took place. 5 minutes in, new signing Murphy played a brilliant through ball to George who took it first time and struck home, awarding Bracknell the lead early in the second half, and Murphy an assist on his first start for the club.

However, just after the hour mark, Watkins went down after being clipped by Bowerman, and Berkhamsted were awarded a penalty, the second spot kick Bracknell have conceded in 2 games. Although Oualah guessed the correct way, Harding’s shot was too powerful and out of reach of the Bracknell keeper, equalising for the Comrades. The visitors almost had a second when a freekick from Andrews was deflected and headed towards the far post, but it was just wide of the goal. With the game level entering the final stages, both teams were eager to get the go-ahead goal. Bracknell seemed to dominate, but chance after chance had gone begging, similarly for Berkhamsted, and neither team found the winning goal, meaning the points were split evenly.
