Dotse 80’

Zaki Ouluah’s late heroics following Dotse’s 80th minute goal earns the Robins victory in an impressive all-round team performance at Havant & Waterlooville.

Jahiem Dotse’s first goal back at Bracknell was enough to pick up the Robins’ second win of 2026, despite late pressure from the hosts. Apart from an early attempt by Jack Mazzone from close range that rattled the post, the game started slowly for both outfits. The Robins controlled play for the first 20 minutes, Havant grew into the game later in the half but the Robins defence along with Zaki Oluah coped with any threat. The Robins had another great chance to get themselves in front when Seb Bowerman found himself through on goal, but couldn’t convert past Lorenz Ferdinand. The Robins marginally had the better of the first half but it ended goalless going into the break.

The second half started with an almost costly mistake from Ferdinand when the ball went through his legs as he went to claim a rolling ball but was cleared just before it crossed the line. Havant then won a freekick on the edge of the box courtesy of a handball, which Olly Pendlebury curled towards the top corner, but Oualah was fast to react to make the save. Both teams looked to break the deadlock as the game passed the hour mark, but efforts went amiss for both sides and the score stayed level.

As the game hit 80 minutes, the opening goal finally came. Oualah kicked the ball long to Jahiem Dotse, who brought it down and took it around two Havant defenders, after Harvey Laidlaw blocked his initial shot, Dotse pounced on the rebound to fire into the back of the net to give Bracknell the advantage with 10 minutes to play.

Havant’s only real period of dominance came in added time as they went searching for the goal level the game. With the Robin’s defence under pressure they thought they had their equaliser but amazing goalkeeping by Zaki diving low to deny Seagar and keep his clean sheet intact. The resulting corner led to the ball being headed onto the bar, but even after the frantic ending, it wasn’t enough for Havant, and the Robins deservedly took the points back home.
