Job Description

A great opportunity has been created to join our new team as a full time Facilities and Events Steward at Bracknell Town FC and Sandhurst Town FC. This is a varied and exciting role with a focus on events as well as being actively involved in the daily running of the main facility.

Interacting with our visitors and clients, providing the highest level of customer service and ensuring a memorable visit are all huge parts of this role, therefore all applicants must be confident and enthusiastic and have a passion for history and events.

The Clubhouse and Events Steward will be the main point of contact for our clients on the event days, providing a professional and welcoming service and ensuring that all expectations are met. All applicants will need to demonstrate excellent attention to detail, along with the ability to think on their feet and problem solve. 

Key Duties:

  • Open and close the clubhouse and ensure displays are clean, well maintained and working correctly.
  • Steward the clubhouse and support the team with interacting with visitors plus operating the bar or food area as required.
  • Stock management and ordering.
  • Food ordering and hygiene management
  • Steward the clubhouse for private hire events including car parking, moving furniture, tidying, and cleaning.
  • Undertake venue viewings with potential clients and host planning meetings with booked clients.
  • Work with the team to generate new displays and ideas/activities for new events.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of the clubs and industry.
  • Ensure visitor routes in the buildings and site is clean and tidy, including litter picking.
  • Ensure line cleaning and all other cleaning standards are at the core of daily and weekly working
  • Ensuring we stay fully compliant on all licences and legislation
  • Organise bar staff for busier periods and holiday cover
  • Act as the responsible person to oversee the safety of staff and visitors while on the premises taking further action to call senior staff or medical help if and when required.
  • Assist with weekly fire alarm testing, monthly emergency light testing and figures reporting, ensuring records are kept up to date.
  • Ensure all event equipment is immaculately presented at all times.

Working hours: 40 hours per week across 5/6 shifted days as required for the business. Flexible hours needed.

Pay: £22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Bar/Catering/Hospitality Management Experience
  • Tourism / Events: 1 year (preferred)

Requirements

  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 3)
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Full UK Driving Licence
