New first team management structure for Robins

May 25, 2012 by Robin in Club News, First Team with 3 Comments

Bracknell Town are pleased to announce that former Larges Lane favourites Steve Nebbett (pictured left*) and Danny Oliphant (pictured right*) have been appointed as new joint first team managers.

Both individuals were highly influential when they played for the club and were in the squad in 2000 as the Robins appeared for the only time in their history in the First Round Proper of the F.A. Cup.

Bob Langridge will remain in his role as assistant manager whilst last season’s management duo of Andy Keen and Steve McClurg will remain at the club as they move upstairs within the football management structure. All three will be on hand to guide and mentor Steve and Danny as they transition into management.

Mick Woodham who did such a good job when he joined the club in December decided to step down and we would like to thank Mick for his efforts and wish him the very best in future endeavours.

Excellent appointment! The pairing will provide us with no end of passion, a local base of players and, in my opinion, much needed SUCCESS on the field. Welcome back to the Club Steve and Danny and good luck for the new season (whatever division we’re playing in)!

I thought it was a strange appointment when I first heard about it but the more I think about it the more it appeals to me. I’m sure they will bring a fresh and different approach into the Football Club and attract some good local players. Good Luck lads!! :-)
