Here is our press release for use:
Bracknell Town Football Club are delighted to announce the 2nd Bracknell Ale & Wine Festival, taking place this year on Bank Holiday Monday 4th June at Larges Lane.
The festival will predominately feature locally sourced beers from the likes of Rebellion Brewery in Marlow and Binghams Brewery in Reading as well as a host of others, wine once again supplied by TheWinePlace.co.uk who will have experts on hand, and for the first time, a selection of ciders.
The brain child of club members Tom Canning and Michael Keen, both keen ale if amateur ale drinkers – the festival is run to help raise some money for the club.
Last years festival was a big success with a good hearty crowd despite the inclement weather, and the club hope to put on a bigger and better show this time around.
Tom said: “Last year the rain really came down, but it didn’t dampen anyone’s enthusiasm, we had plenty of marquee cover and every club member came along and got involved on the day. It was huge fun.
“This year we will again have outdoor cover, as well as a barbeque supplied by the junior club, and we’ve hired a local band to come and entertain in the evening and we hope to have music through out the day.
Michael said: “We are hoping that everyone will be in the Jubilee spirit and come down and celebrate with us.
“Hosting the event on the Bank Holiday weekend seemed ideal, with the main celebrations happening the following day. We’ve made sure and ordered good weather!”
Bracknell Ale & Wine Festival is hosted by Bracknell Town Football Club at Larges Lane, RG12 9AN.
Tickets are £3 via www.bracknellalefestival.co.uk or on the day. Discounts for CAMRA members and concessions.
Tom and Michael are still looking for sponsors for the festival alongside Inchcape Ford, TradeMark Windows, Gentry Decorating Services, Sign-A-Rama Thames Valley and the Jack O’Newbury Pub who have kindly offered to support the festival.
