A winner has been chosen from the week long Easter egg hunt that took place in Bracknell to find ten Easter chicks in shop windows throughout the town centre. The competition saw almost 400 children aged between four and eleven take part, and five year old Owen Goodall was randomly picked as the winner from all the entries.
Each child that completed the hunt received a chocolate treat supplied by Thorntons, and as the overall winner, Owen also received a giant chocolate bunny from Sainsburys, which he collected last week from The Body Shop, where the Easter egg hunt started and finished.
Sam Storey, manager of The Body Shop said, ‘We really enjoyed taking part in the Easter egg hunt. It was great fun and we are always really keen to get involved in any community activities that are taking place and events that are put on in the town.’
Gemma Tizzard, marketing executive for Bracknell Regeneration Partnership, said, ‘The Easter egg hunt was a lot of fun and we were delighted by how many children came into the town centre over the week and got involved. Although the hunt was organised and funded by BRP it was fantastic to have The Body Shop running it for us. All events we put on in the town centre are designed to encourage people to come in and shop here rather than go elsewhere, and retailer support is very important to making them successful. I hope Owen enjoys his chocolate bunny and doesn’t eat it all at once!’
