Calling all thrill seekers!

British Red Cross are looking for more daredevils to take part in an adrenalin-pumping 130ft abseil from The Prow at the Bracknell and Wokingham College Church Road site on Sunday 17 June.

Anne Huddart from British Red Cross said: “It is a slightly different abseil as it is about 50:50 abseil and freefall – there is only building for about 60 or 70ft, then there is a drop – so that adds another interesting dimension! And to my knowledge there hasn’t been an abseil in Bracknell for some while, so don’t miss your chance!”

Campbell Christie, Principal at the College and several other staff and students have already signed up.

Abseilers are asked to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship for Red Cross in Berkshire (£60 for full time students – just enter your student number in the ‘reasons for doing it’ field during registration). Cash raised will also help the emergency support service for families affected after fires or floods, the Red Cross’ wheelchair loan scheme and ambulance transport to help with vital journeys.

Sign up (registration fee of £15) by contacting Anne Huddart on 0118 935 8221 or email ahuddart@redcross.org.uk or visit www.goo.gl/HeLEN .
