Lemar is our Christmas star

Bracknell Regeneration Partnership is delighted to announce that the multi-million album selling Lemar will be the special celebrity guest switching on the Bracknell Christmas lights this year at 5.20pm on Sunday 27th November.

A two week teaser campaign has been running giving out clues and asking people to guess who the star might be on the Love Bracknell Facebook page.

Lemar, who has sold over two million albums, had seven top ten singles, won two BRIT Awards and three MOBO awards will be performing on stage in Charles Square at 5.00pm on Sunday 27th November before switching on the lights. There will then be the traditional firework spectacular from Star Fireworks.

Before Lemar takes to the stage there will be a whole range of entertainment for all the family to enjoy. There will be dance performances from Artemis Studios and Street Feet Dance, as well as some festive singing to get everyone in the mood from Glee Club; children from School of the Arts, and the Tilehurst and Caversham Rock Choir.

In Princess Square there will be a chance for one lucky winner and a friend to meet Lemar with the Heart FM ‘Winning Whirlwind’ which also includes a £1,000 give away with 4 lucky shoppers set to win top prizes of £250 courtesy of a Christmas Gift Blizzard.

Santa will also be in his grotto, based in the toy department on the first floor of Bentalls, keen to hear what all the good boys and girls of Bracknell want for Christmas.
